Framing Memories

The new home is for a son and his dad, who is diagnosed with initial dementia symptoms. We started with contrasting materials in the apartment, from the entrance to the bedroom of the dad’s room so that it is easily recognisable for him. Hidden rooms with concealed doors are for the son who can maintain his own privacy when he decided to. The condominium is surrounded by beautiful trees and lush greenery. We designed this flat to frame the stunning view of lush greenery outside, experimenting with new ways to use mouldings. The mouldings also act as elements to conceal lighting, electrical devices and doors to secret rooms. Hopefully, the frames will continue to create beautiful memories for the owners in the years to come.
